CQ RESCUE enroute to motor vehical accident in Bowen Basin

At 4.35pm the RACQ – CQ RESCUE helicopter left Mackay with a doctor and paramedic on board heading to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the Fitzroy Development Road south east of Moranbah .

At 4.15pm, a road ambulance was still some time away however initial reports indicate one person is entrapped in the vehicle. No details are available as to the cause of the accident or where the vehicle was traveling to or from.

The Fitzroy Development Road bypasses Moranbah and is frequently used when traveling between Nebo and Dysart or Middlemount.

Crew on board the CQ RESCUE helicopter is expected to be in the vicinity of the motor vehicle accident just after 5pm.
